The Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) allows for luxury villas and other residential properties to be sold at a minimum price of US$500,000 to foreigner nationals. Qualified buys are to receive Mauritian residence permits. The IRS properties are sold as freehold property investments targeting the high-end segment of the international property market (i.e. High net-worth clients with high purchasing power). Within the Real Estate Scheme (RES) requirements, residential units are sold to non-citizens with no minimum price range restrictions. Whilst no price restriction governs the property price, the issue of a residence permit is only permitted when the property worth is at least US$500,000. The RES scheme is targeted mainly for those investors wanting to invest, work and live in Mauritius or for those looking to buy a holiday home in Mauritius. View IRS Projects >>>
The Invest-Hotel is a scheme designed to allow property developers to sell hotel rooms, villas, suites or any other part of a hotel to individual buyers during and post construction phases. The IHS facilitates the overall financing of new hotel projects and it offers individual buyers access to the facilities of an exquisitely-furnished new luxury resort hotel. There is usually the promise of rental income, but very rarely are properties within the IHS made available to foreign nationals.
Note: There are NO ‘Invest Hotel Scheme Projects’ currently available for acquisition by foreign nationals…
